Gail with Ditto at Equine Assisted Counseling  Gail A. Linn, LPC

Gail A. Linn has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 15 years.  Gail has a Master's Degree in Counseling, is a Certified as a Trauma/ Loss Consultant and is Certified as a Level One instructor in EAGALA.  Gail is also a certified NARHA Riding Instructor at the Registered Level.   At Equine Assisted Counseling, she works with individuals and groups from ages 5 through adult.

Her accomplishments include being published three times for articles on mood disorders, and starting two successful counseling centers, including Counseling Center for Women in Rochester.  Gail recently took over ownership of Counseling Connection Shelby (www.grantcounselingconnection.com), where she works with couples, teen, children, and individuals in a comfortable, home-like office setting.

Gail has been married for 37 years and has two grown sons.  Her favorite past-times include, horseback riding, reading, and gardening.  She is also trying to work on her computer skills (with much frustration).  Gail elected to become a counselor, because she enjoys helping people with their many issues and finds the work to be challenging.

Gail is a member of:

  • Alliance for the Mentally Ill
  • Equine Facilitated Mental Health Association
  • Manic-Depressive Association
  • Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning Association
  • American Counseling Association
  • The Trauma and Loss Institute
  • The Arabian Horse Registry
  • Center member of North American Riding the Handicapped Association  (NARHA)

With Equine Assisted Counseling, Gail is combining her two loves - horses and counseling into an exciting and innovative way to help people.
